These sessions aim to foster the exchange of best practices and examples within the 5G community, while empowering potential applicants in the project planning and application writing processes for the upcoming 3rd call of CEF Digital 5G for Smart Communities.
The second session, " Smart Communities healthcare use cases", taking place online via Webex, will commence with a welcome and introduction by Frederic Pujol, Team Leader of the 5G for Smart Communities Support Platform. His opening remarks will set the stage for an in-depth analysis of two remarkable European best practices, demonstrating what the deployment of 5G networks can bring to various sectors of society.
The first speaker, representing Frankfurt University Hospital, will present the “5G4UH: 5G for University Hospital” project. This presentation will delve into the details of how 5G technology is being leveraged to enhance healthcare services at the university hospital.
Following that, Bert Vlaminck from POM West-Vlaanderen will share insights on the "Flanders Smart Fields: 5G Rural Coverage for Innovative Healthcare Services in the Westhoek" project. This presentation will showcase the application of 5G in providing advanced healthcare services in rural areas.
These sessions will provide an in-depth look at two of the seven selected 5G for Smart Communities projects that commenced in Q1 2023, with a planned duration of three years. By attending, participants will have the unique opportunity to learn from user feedback on practical categories of good practices and actively engage in a Q&A session.
