Join us on 11 October from 9:30 to 16:30 CEST for an exclusive opportunity to be part of the 5GSC Community Conference, hosted by the 5G for Smart Communities Support Platform in collaboration with the European Commission, DG CNECT.
This event aims to bring together key stakeholders, including mobile network operators, alternative operators, equipment manufacturers, and public authorities, to foster a dynamic exchange of ideas, insights and best practices related to the 5G for Smart Communities action under CEF – Digital.
During the event, representatives from DG CNECT and HaDEA will provide informative presentations on the upcoming launch of the 5G for Smart Communities third call for proposals, expected to be open from October 2023 to February 2024, as well as on the lessons learned from the second call.
Panelists, including representatives from municipalities and infrastructure operators, will also explore 5G best practices for Smart City solutions in Europe, discuss challenges of 5G coverage, both indoors and outdoors, and potential solutions. 5G use cases in Edge Cloud will also be explored, with an introduction by DG CNECT's Cloud and Software Unit.
To conclude the event, two breakout sessions will be organised, where participants can enroll and gain practical insights on how to apply to the third 5G for Smart Communities call for proposals, from the public authorities and operators’ points of view. These open forums will foster a dynamic exchange of ideas, provide valuable insights on how to prepare for the application process, highlight important points to consider, as well as lessons learned.
