The call has a total budget of €21 million (€5-7 million per project).
The pilot projects will introduce scalable and replicable GenAI solutions into public administration, helping to enhance decision-making, optimise internal processes, improve accessibility, and simplify bureaucratic procedures.
This Info Day provided an in-depth presentation of the GenAI Pilots call, outlining its objectives, requirements, and expected outcomes. It also facilitated networking between public administrations interested in similar use-cases, integrators, and other stakeholders to support the creation of project consortia.
Participants had the opportunity to present their needs, share how they envision the use of GenAI solutions in public administrations, but also express interest in specific macro-areas or sectors through structured pitching sessions. An online matchmaking tool — b2match — was introduced during the Info Day, helping public administrations and other stakeholders to connect based on shared interests and needs.
You can access the recording and download the slides (ppt).
As a follow-up, a hybrid matchmaking event was held at the Committee of the Regions on 22 May, offering further opportunities for networking and consortia-building.
A final online matchmaking event was held on 3 September at 10:00-12:00 am to support further networking and consortia-building. You can access the recording and download the slides.
Deadline extended to 2 October 2025
To allow additional time for consortia to further develop ideas, strengthen partnerships, and prepare mature project proposals, the Commission has extended the deadline for the call DIGITAL-2025-AI-08-SUPPLY-AI (GenAI in Public Administration) under the Digital Europe Programme by one month.
The new deadline for the submission of proposals is 2 October 2025.
In parallel, potential stakeholders of the call are invited to complete a dedicated survey aimed at identifying how the Commission can further facilitate the creation of strong partnerships.
In addition, a new collaboration space on B2Match, under Project Ideas & Expertise, has been created. This platform enables public administrations and stakeholders to share project ideas, identify suitable partners and join ongoing initiatives.
For any questions, please consult the most up-to-date version of the topic FAQ, on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, where all clarifications will be published.
Applicants are encouraged to make full use of the extended timeframe and the available networking tools to build strong consortia and prepare competitive proposals.
