Joint AI Office /CNECT University webinar: Europe’s international engagement in the area of Artificial Intelligence

The AI Office and CONNECT University will host a joint session on the AI Office’s international engagement and activities, offering a glimpse at how the EU promotes safe, trustworthy, and human-centric artificial intelligence worldwide.

The webinar will explore the AI Office’s international action across three main dimensions:

  • bilateral and multilateral cooperation
  • work on AI safety and security
  • the promotion of AI for the public good

Participants will gain insights into how the EU engages with international partners and contributes to international AI governance frameworks and initiatives, such as the G7, the Global Partnership on AI, the UN and AI Summits.

Among other things, speakers will discuss:

  • the EU bilateral cooperation with partner countries and regions
  • concrete international projects to jointly develop and test AI models for deployment in EU neighbouring countries and the Global South
  • the work of the Network of AI Safety and Security Institutes
