Content Information Type Specifications (CITS) build on the common and package eArchiving specifications to provide specific requirements and guidance for the creation of conformant, interoperable packages for particular information types.
This training webinar will be presented by Stephen Mackey, of the eArchiving Consortium and Penwern Limited, who will introduce the newest CITS for 3D and Product Model data (3D PM). He will explain its foundation on the existing international standards STEP (ISO 10103) and LOTAR (EN 9300), the use cases it supports within the engineering/product design domain and how additional information to support these standards is accommodated in eArchiving packages. In particular, he will focus on the key issues of authenticity through validation, verification and digital signatures. Stephen will also show how the PREMIS standard is used to record evidence of this authenticity in line with existing eArchiving rules for its use.
This webinar is suitable for those who wish to understand how the CITS 3D PM can be used in eArchiving systems to achieve interoperability of 3D Product Model data, how you can receive support for its application and contribute to its further development.
This webinar will take place on Thursday, 16 January 2025, 10.00–11.00 CET.
Practical information about the webinar will be provided once registration is complete.
