Cyprus' performance towards the Digital Decade targets and objectives.

Cyprus has made remarkable progress in gigabit connectivity infrastructure but continues to face challenges in closing the digital skills gap between different segments of the population. Nonetheless, the country can count on a relatively good share of ICT specialists in employment.
Cyprus' national roadmap includes 62 measures totaling EUR 988.4 million (equivalent to 2.96% of Cyprus’s GDP).

The graph represents the observed Key Performance Indicators in the Member State as a percentage of the EU 2030 targets, as well as the distance, in percentage, to the EU 2030 targets.
The bars for cloud, data analytics and basic skills are empty, as 2023 is the most recent year for which data is available. The bars for edge nodes and unicorns are also empty as the Member State's performance cannot be compared to the EU target.
In 2024, Cyprus had an estimated nine edge nodes and three unicorns.

Only 49.46% of the population has at least a basic level of digital skills, with significant gaps between education levels and age groups

Performances in the digitalisation of public services for citizens has made progress but remains below the EU average, and online public services for businesses are stagnating.
