Developments in key and emerging technologies are changing the way we define digital skills and the extent to which we depend on technology. Europe has a significant and systemic gap between market needs and what is offered in terms of skills related to advanced digital technologies.
- 62.8% of companies trying to recruit ICT specialists find it ‘difficult’.
- 65% of workers have digital skills which are “basic or above basic” and only 34% have “above basic” overall digital skills.
- Only 1 in 5 enterprises provided ICT training to their workers.
Objectives
The project, brings together a novel mix of EU education providers and professional organisations to:
- Create a sustainable and collaborative trainings serving the digitalisation needs of SMEs.
- Facilitate access by SMEs to high-class digital training.
- Increase the number of women and men able to design, develop and deploy digital solutions in the manufacturing industry.
Impact
25 short training courses in digital technologies. Examples include AI for managers, IoT in manufacturing industry, Cybersecurity for manufacturing, and Programming Basic Skills.
REBOOT SKILLS training program will reskill and upskill 1197 participants with digital skills which are tailored to fit the needs of manufacturing industry.
