The Recommendation on Secure and Resilient Submarine Cable Infrastructures presents a set of actions at national and EU level aimed at improving submarine cable security and resilience. This will be achieved through better coordination across the EU, both in terms of governance and funding.
The work for this call for tenders will be structured along four main tasks:
- Mapping existing and planned submarine cable infrastructures in the EU
- Consolidated Union-wide assessment of risks, vulnerabilities and dependencies of submarine cable infrastructures, and stress testing
- Cable Security Toolbox of mitigating measures
- Draft list of Cable Projects of European Interest (CPEIs)
