The funding is available for:
- projects developing capabilities as requested by the Directive on security of network and information systems (the NIS Directive)
- for capability development in cybersecurity supporting Cooperative Connected and Automated Mobility
- for public bodies to meet EU Policy objectives associated with Operational Level Cyber Security.
This call is part of a set of coordinated calls covering the CEF Transport, CEF Telecom and CEF Energy sectors. The coordinated calls aim to exploit synergies between these three sectors related to the aspect of digitalisation with a view to foster the development and implementation of coherent digital infrastructure and solutions across the various networks. In particular, applicants are encouraged to exploit the possibilities offered by the CEF Telecom Cyber Security call as regards digitalisation aspects relevant for transport.
To receive co-funding under the CEF Telecom 2018-3 call for proposals, actions must be ready for deployment, contribute to EU Digital Single Market policies and have a long-term sustainability strategy. The funding will be allocated to those eligible proposals which best meet the award criteria as specified in the 2018 CEF Telecom Work Programme and in the call text. CEF Telecom funding is dedicated to Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) delivering networked cross-border services for citizens, businesses and public administrations. For example, the eHealth DSI refers to tools and services using information and communication technologies that can improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment of patients, as well as monitoring and management in healthcare systems. E-procurement can significantly simplify the way procurement is conducted and deliver better procurement outcomes by stimulating greater competition across the Single Market. The European e-Justice Portal is a key element in the architecture of the European e-Justice system. It is conceived as a one-stop-shop in the area of justice and, as such, operates as a decentralised platform for e-Justice services. Supported projects will contribute to improving the competitiveness of the European economy, promoting the interconnection and interoperability of national, regional and local networks and access to these networks, thus supporting the development of a Digital Single Market.
