This is a call for proposals for EU action grants in the field of pilot projects and preparatory actions.
To advance the understanding of the impact of narratives on society, as well as the development of concrete methodologies, tools and approaches to monitor and engage with them, this call will fund two projects:
- The first, with a budget of €1.5 million, will focus on the monitoring of narratives and the detection of malicious campaigns in the EU’s information space.
- The second, with a budget of €1.65 million, will focus on analysing the impact of online disinformation on citizens and developing concrete responses to reduce societal polarisation
Funded projects will build further on the results of successful EU projects in narrative analysis and monitoring – most notably on the Narratives Observatory Combatting Disinformation in Europe Systemically (NODES), the Predictive Research on Misinformation & Propagation Trajectories (PROMPT), as well as the Vera.AI and AI4Trust projects.
They will contribute to the EU’s overall objective to advance societal resilience and preparedness through increased media literacy, better situational awareness and response capabilities on the threat of disinformation.
