
The targeted consultation was conducted over a seven-week period, from 18 November 2025 to 9 January 2026.
By means of the consultation, the Commission services sought feedback from relevant stakeholders in the field with a view to:
- obtain feedback on the functioning of the notification process to identify the areas that warrant further clarification;
- gather good practices concerning the processing of notifications and the identification of the Member State(s) concerned whose authorities should receive the notifications;
- identify the criminal offences considered in scope of the article under national law and practical examples of such offences.
