Media Coverage of European Affairs - Final Report

The European Commission has published the final report of a study aiming to explore the conditions affecting the coverage of EU topics across the different media segments in Europe.

The conclusions of this study will underpin future decisions in the area of Multimedia Actions, contribute to a better mapping of the news media situation in the EU and will help to better understand the evolution and functioning of the sector.

The study, split in different sections and focusing on the situation in Europe, covers several topics such as the key trends of the news media sector, the drivers and factors affecting journalism, the coverage of EU affairs, and the potential gaps and opportunities of the mentioned coverage.
