The Research Executive Agency (REA) organised an Information Day on Thursday, 27th April 2017 in Brussels about the second call for proposals to be launched in 2017 by the Future and Emerging Technologies Open (FET-Open) scheme for Research and Innovation Actions (RIA).
The Information Day targeted potential applicants for the FET-Open RIA call which will close on 27th September 2017.
In the morning, attendees received information concerning the Horizon 2020 FET-Open scheme, in particular on how to prepare and submit a FET-Open proposal. A thorough explanation on the evaluation process and the relevant evaluation criteria was also be provided.
In the afternoon, a successful proposer came and shared his experience. An opportunity was also be given to those who wished to make a very short presentation (max. 5 min, 1-3 slides) on a novel idea for a proposal. Whilst presenting their abilities, they were also able to find/identify potential partners.
FET Open supports early-stage collaborative scientific research aimed at radically new future technologies. Projects can involve a wide range of new technological possibilities, inspired by cutting-edge science, unconventional collaborations or new research and innovation practices.
