To tackle the lack of digital skills in Europe and the thousands of unfilled ICT-related vacancies across all industry sectors, the Commission is leading since 2013 the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, a multi-stakeholder partnership. Organisations in 13 Member States have set up localised reflections of the Grand Coalition to address their respective national digital skills challenges in a more tailored way. These Coalitions are made up of national and local authorities, businesses, educational actors and many more. Their aim is to increase industry-led digital training, certifying digital skills, improving schools' and universities' digital curricula, and raising awareness about ICT careers, especially among young people and women.
