Serbia, 14 November 2025 – The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) has completed the auction of 5G radio-frequency spectrum, awarding licences to Yettel, Telekom Serbia and A1. The auction, held from 3 to 7 November 2025, covered multiple bands, including 694–790 MHz, 880–960 MHz, 1710–1880 MHz, 1920–2170 MHz, 2500–2690 MHz and 3400–3800 MHz.
Yettel secured frequencies for €100,028,170, Telekom Serbia for €100,050,530 and A1 for €100,020,730. Operators must pay the first half of the licence fees within 15 days, with the remainder due by 30 June 2026. Following proof of payment, RATEL will issue individual licences within seven days.
The allocation enables the three operators to begin commercial 5G services in Serbia, including in previously underserved municipalities, with licences expected to be issued in early December 2025.
