Call for applications to the expert group for the Observatory on the Online Platform Economy

The Commission is launching a call for experts to the expert group for the Observatory on the Online Platform Economy until 9 November 2020.

The Commission is launching today a call for independent experts with a view to selecting members of the expert group for the Observatory on the Online Platform Economy.

The expert group to the Observatory on the Online Platform Economy , set up by Commission Decision of 26 of April 2018 started its activities in September 2018 and its 2 years term has come to an end. The Commission is bound to partially replace the membership of the expert group so as they could start their 2nd term in January 2021. The experts should be acting in a personal capacity and have a proven competence and experience in the field of the online platform economy or of specific digital technologies, business models or other related issues. The group meets at least four times a year, normally in Brussels.  

The expert group will continue to support the Commission in monitoring the evolution of the online platform economy, allowing for evidence-based and problem-focused policy making. The call for application will be open until 9 November 2020.
