To support a smooth and effective implementation of the AI Act and provide the legal certainty needed to scale up trustworthy AI and boost innovation across Europe, the Commission has launched the AI Act Service Desk and the AI Act Single Information Platform.

The Single Information Platform, foreseen in the AI Act, will serve as a central hub where stakeholders can find all relevant information on the AI Act, navigate its content, understand how it applies, and access tailored guidance on its implementation.

Alongside useful information, FAQs and resources about the AI Act — including materials provided by Member States — the Single Information Platform offers the following digital tools:

  • a Compliance Checker, a tool crafted to help stakeholders determine whether they are subject to legal obligations and understand the steps they need to take to comply
  • an AI Act Explorer, an online tool designed to help users browse through different chapters, annexes and recitals of the AI Act in an intuitive way
  • an online form will allow stakeholders to submit questions on the AI Act to the AI Act Service Desk, a team of expert professionals working in close cooperation with the AI Office

The Single Information Platform is currently available in English, French, and German and is equipped with an English-language tutorial subtitled in these 3 languages. In early 2026, the platform will be available in all 24 EU official languages.

The AI Act, which entered into force on 1 August 2024, creates a single market and harmonised rules for trustworthy AI in the EU. It aims to promote innovation and uptake of AI, while addressing potential risks to people’s health, safety, and fundamental rights and safeguarding democracy and the rule of law.

The Commission is committed to supporting a smooth and effective roll-out as the AI Act progressively applies, up to its full implementation by 2 August 2027.
