We use more and more digital technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, big data, or Augmented and Virtual Reality in our daily lives and at work. They come with a wide range of opportunities for innovation and growth. However, understanding their impact and staying up to date with the ever-increasing pace of change can prove to be challenging for many.

Digital SkillUp has been created to help all Europeans and business including SMEs keeping up with emerging technologies and to learn how to make the most of them in their careers or daily lives. Based on a Preparatory action initiated by the European Parliament, Digital SkillUp is contributing to the learning pillar of the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform.

It offers three new and innovative online courses explaining emerging technologies in an easy and accessible way to everyone – no matter their age, profession, or ICT experience. These courses are available in 10 EU languages (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Romanian, Dutch, Greek, Croatian).

The courses cover three domains:

  • The Digital Revolution, exploring how digitisation became so pervasive from computers to apps, from the internet to the cloud
  • Emerging technologies, with a with a deep dive into the Internet of Things, Robotics, and Augmented Reality/Virtual reality
  • Cybersecurity, covering the fundamentals of cybersecurity with real-life examples and exercises aimed at building a simplified cybersecurity action plan for personal or professional use

In addition, learners can continue their journey and boost their digital competencies and expand their knowledge even further with hundreds of additional top-quality training opportunities gathered in the Digital SkillUp Course Catalogue.

The Digital SkillUp community will use the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, and its community feature, as a place to exchange best practices and network with one another.
