The eArchiving initiative will begin its 2023 season of training webinars on Thursday 27 April 2023, with a session on “Using eArchiving standards for system-independent storage of authorisation metadata”.
Subsequent webinars will run on the third Thursday of each month at 10.00 CET, with breaks over July, August and December. Sessions will last between 1 and 1.5 hours. In May, we will be looking at database preservation. In June, we will have a detailed appraisal of the Large object (LOB, BLOB) handling capabilities of SIARD. In September, we will study open-source tools for eArchiving, followed by the use of ESSArch for eArchiving in October and finally, FAIR access to long-term geospatial records in November.
