During these exceptional times, the European Commission is supporting EU Code Week and the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalitions to help keep teachers, organisations and individuals across the EU agile and able to adapt to new requirements across member states to work remotely in order to keep each other safe.

Every year, EU Code Week brings together millions across the world to help people, students and businesses to bring coding and computational thinking into their every-day lives.

Through a series of webinars, the team behind EU Code Week is sharing best practices in coping with the new social distancing restrictions related to the coronavirus. These range from helping teachers set up remote classes, sharing lesson plans on coding, robotics and more.

Through these webinars, teachers and coaches running coding workshops get tips and ideas on how to set up remote coding sessions and concrete lesson plans. At a time when digital skills are proving to be imperative, these best practices are needed across Europe to help organisations and businesses continue their work in the face of new challenges.

Two webinars have been organised so far, and a third is planned for Friday 27 March. The highlights from these webinars are posted on the EU Code Week blog and the Code Week YouTube channel so that anyone can access them afterwards at their convenience.
