Anti-microbial resistance (AMR) is a significant and growing societal challenge. Innovation is needed to rapidly detect and control AMR in a number of settings, not least healthcare facilities and hospitals. The EU-funded RaDAR project brings together healthcare buyers to undertake a collaborative procurement of rapid AMR detection and control systems. For this purpose, at the end of 2023, the RaDAR buyers group will launch tenders for innovative solutions to address this unmet need.

On November 25th, this project has reached a new milestone, launching its Second Prior Information Notice and the Market Sounding Prospectus. In fact, in order to progress to tender in the most effective way, RaDAR wishes to understand the market’s ability to respond by starting a phase of dialogue with the supply chain and provide an opportunity for potential solution providers to express interest and provide feedback.

Following this consultative phase, the buyers group will refine their specific requirements and tendering process in line with the market feedback, anticipated innovation timelines and wider stakeholder validation, to enable and support the procurement of innovative solutions and the participation of SMEs.

If you consider yourself a potential supplier and wish to inform RaDAR’s collaborative tender specification and strategy, you can respond using the Market Response Form by 3 February 2023!
