Pilot Project: Media4Change - Future Investigative Story Lab

The European Commission has signed a grant agreement with a consortium led by the Nacionalinis Socialinės Integracijos Institutas - NSII / NISI (the National Institute for Social Integration) to launch a Pilot Project named Media4Change - Future Investigative Story Lab. This project has been selected under "Action 3 - Pilot Project: Supporting investigative journalism and media freedom in the EU."

This project foresees creation of a media lab within the National Institute for Social Integration that would provide support to independent, collaborative, local and investigative journalism and media making in Lithuania, Slovakia (main target countries), Latvia and the Czech Republic (other target countries), with high potential to spill-over to other EU Member States through international networks of European Youth Press – Network of Young Media Makers, e.V. – EYP and Media4Change.

  • To support usage of innovative tools that can help enhance and promote quality journalism

  • To facilitate the collaboration between journalists and news media actors
  • To map covered topics and best practices in the field of local investigations
