The Board adopted its second annual report pursuant to Article 35(2) DSA on the most recurring and prominent systemic risks. This report is a key element of the Digital Services Act’s risk-based architecture and provides a structured and evidence-based overview of the systemic risks that can result from the design or functioning of very large online platforms and services and the use of their services. In addition, it shared updates on the latest enforcement activities by Digital Services Coordinators (DSCs) and the Commission. The Board also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring data access for qualified researchers.
This was also the first joint meeting between the Board and the European Board for Media Services, marking a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the two Boards. They discussed the protection of minors online and the safeguarding of media freedom and pluralism under the Digital Services Act, the European Media Freedom Act and the Audiovisual Media Services Directive, and the interplay of these acts.
