Rede Aberta is especially important for Galicia in this period, as M. Atentas notes:
“The pandemic has logically revealed telecommunications networks as essential. It has brought them to the same level as the electrical networks and the water service.”
The project will use existing infrastructures in order to reduce the costs of deployment and will offer wholesale services to national and local telecom operators.
M. Antentas underlines that:
“The role of CEBF has been critical in the execution of the project because CEBF has financial muscle and is familiar with these types of projects due to its expertise in developing neutral network in rural and low [population] density environments”.
