Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom: Further €25 million EU funding available to improve access to online services across Europe

The European Commission has launched the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom 2019–2 call, making €25 million available to stimulate and sustain the deployment of European Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) in the areas of Cybersecurity, eHealth, eProcurement, European e-Justice, European Platform for Digital Skills and Jobs and the Public Open Data. In 2019, CEF Telecom aims to provide up to €88 million in total funding for 18 DSIs, in order to meet the needs of public administrations, businesses and citizens in their cross-border activities.

Connecting Europe Facility 2021-2027: Have your say on CEF2 Digital

The Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding programme will enter its second generation in 2021, for the seven-year period of 2021-2027. The European Commission’s Directorate General for Content Networks and Technologies is organising a public consultation to gather the views of stakeholders on the priority areas for EU digital infrastructure investments and the best ways to address existing connectivity needs with Connecting Europe Facility support.

Gnomon Informatics grows thanks to DECIPHER pre-commercial procurement

Gnomon Informatics, a Thessaloniki based SME, is rolling out interoperable e-health management solutions across Europe. The openDECIPHER solution, that it developed during the EU funded DECIPHER pre-commercial procurement, has paved the way for the company to win eHealth deployment contracts in Cyprus, Ireland, Malta, Luxembourg, Greece, Belgium and Switzerland. Further extensions, e.g. for diabetes and chronic pain management, are currently also under testing by Turkish, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese health procurers.
