Call for tenders: pre-commercial procurement - wave converter systems

A buyers group from Scotland and Spain invites interested operators to submit tenders for their EuropeWave pre-commercial procurement. The aim is to accelerate the design, development, and demonstration of cost-effective wave energy converter (WEC) systems to produce clean electricity, advance promising designs for wave energy converter systems to a point from which they are ready to proceed to a first of a kind commercial-scale design and testing programme and commercial exploitation through other national/regional programmes and/or private sector investment.

Emerging Technologies in Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) - Opportunities Ahead

This study presents a roadmap of the emerging technologies impacting the global electronic value chain. It also identifies the main emerging Micro-Nano Electronics (MNE), Smart Systems and Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) technologies and forecasts their economic impact in short and midterm on the different end-user segments. It assesses which of these technologies are the most critical technologies for the EU and are therefore suggested to be supported by the European Commission and the follow-up Joint Undertaking in the context of Horizon Europe.

The EU-funded project SNIFFPHONE has developed a system that can identify whether someone has stomach cancer by analysing exhaled gases using a compact handheld sensor device that is plugged into a smartphone.
