Following an open selection process, the Commission appointed 23 experts to a new Expert Group on Business-to-Government Data Sharing. The group is composed of independent experts with a high level of expertise in the field, covering a broad range of areas of interest and sectors.

The EU-supported project CAxMan has helped a small Italian engineering company to produce an innovative gearbox through 3D printing technologies. This has made their manufacturing process 20% cheaper and 40% faster.

The Dutch manufacturer Thomas Regout has integrated robots in its production process to assist workers with carrying heavy parts, showing them assembly instructions through virtual reality, and collaborating in the workplace without replacing jobs carried out by humans.
