Smart energy management in cities is a key to achieving the green and digital transition. This was the focus of the third in a series of five workshops on business to government (B2G) data sharing in cities. Helsinki, Rennes Metropole and Milan shared their experiences, followed by an engaging discussion with around 30 European cities.

The European Commission has launched an open public consultation on the announced Data Act aiming to create a fair data economy by ensuring access to and use of data. The consultation seeks to gather views from citizens, businesses, online platforms, academics, civil society, administrations and all interested parties. It is open until 3 September.

The Spanish national railway infrastructure operator ADIF invites interested bidders to submit offers to develop and test innovative technological solutions that are capable of detecting structural damage to bridges, viaducts and railways turnout/switching devices at an early stage, and tools to enable predictive maintenance. The contracting is carried out by the CDTI in collaboration with ADIF who will test the developed solutions in its pre-operational environment.

The aim of the European Catalogue of Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT) Water Standards and Specifications is to support the Action Plan for Water Services in the context of the Digital Single Market as well as the Rolling Plan of the European Commission for digitalisation of the water management.

The purpose of this call for tenders is to carry out a study to map parameters, formats, standards, benchmarks, methodologies and guidelines, relating to 3D digitisation of tangible cultural heritage, to the different potential purposes or uses, i.e. preservation, reconstruction, reproduction, research, and general-purpose visualisation, by type of tangible cultural heritage, i.e. immovable or movable, and by degree of complexity of tangible cultural heritage, e.g. low, medium, high, and very high (reference VIGIE-2020-654).
