Commission decision on the prior consent to the establishment of a local office presence of ENISA (European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) in Brussels, Belgium - C(2021) 4626 final
Today, the European Commission gave it prior consent to the establishment of a local office presence of ENISA (European Union Agency for Cybersecurity) in Brussels, Belgium.
The Commission has laid out a vision to build a new Joint Cyber Unit to tackle the rising number of serious cyber incidents impacting public services, as well as the life of businesses and citizens across the European Union. Advanced and coordinated responses in the field of cybersecurity have become increasingly necessary, as cyberattacks grow in number, scale and consequences, impacting heavily our security. All relevant actors in the EU need to be prepared to respond collectively and exchange relevant information on a ‘need to share', rather than only ‘need to know', basis.
To boost research and innovation investments in digital, the Commission has launched new European Partnerships together with industry and academia, under the Horizon Europe programme.
The Partnerships will pursue innovative solutions on a large scale, pooling in efforts, resources and investments which will generate long-term positive impact, boost European competitiveness and technological sovereignty, as well as create jobs and growth.
The European Research and Innovation Days, Europe’s annual flagship event on the future of research and innovation, starts today. The two-day event will take place online until tomorrow 24 June. It features more than 60 live sessions, over 200 speakers, and connects around 20.000 participating policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens.
