Under the theme “Going green and digital for Europe’s energy transition”, the 16th edition of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will comprise a high-level policy conference, the awards ceremony, the third European youth energy day, as well as provide opportunities for bilateral meetings, exhibition stands and other networking activities.
On 27 September at 14:00, Paula Pinho, a Director in the Directorate-General for Energy and Pearse O’Donohue, a Director in the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology will jointly open the Digitalisation sessions of the high-level policy conference.
Throughout the afternoon of the same day, several representatives from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) will speak on different aspects of the digitalisation of the energy system. Sessions will focus on data exchange and governance models for energy data hubs, the energy transition, digitalisation and cybersecurity, making data centres in Europe sustainable, and the power of digital innovation hubs to accelerate the digitalisation of Europe’s energy transition.
Moreover, on 27 September, the Horizon 2020-funded InterConnect project will host an event entitled “Towards the Interoperable energy ecosystem of the future” under the scope of EUSEW.
