CONNECT University "Cybersecurity Get Away Day"

In order to celebrate the 2019 European Cybersecurity Month, CONNECT University organised a special session focused on cybersecurity in practice that provided a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with the latest technology.

Interactive talks, Demos, Hacking

The event featured EU Funded cybersecurity projects presentations and trainings to get tips and tricks on how to enhance cybersecurity. Interactive talks allowed participants to discuss on cybersecurity practices, cyber threat intelligence and emerging technologies, and cybersecurity capabilities. The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium, partner of the ECSM campaign, was also present with their cybersecurity truck to test EU staff’s cyber knowledge with fun games. Finally, the presence of special guests such as the Romanian winning team of the ‘European Cyber Security Challenge Competition’ 2019 completed the programme.

Background information

The European Cyber Security Month (ECSM) is the EU’s annual cybersecurity awareness campaign that takes place each October across Europe.

CONNECT University is the flagship of DG CONNECT which aims to inform about the latest digital trends and challenges which are highly linked with EU's relevant policies and serve as a platform for sharing knowledge through thematic discussions, workshops and seminars.
