With 39 speakers confirmed coming from 17 countries, the aim of the conference is to highlight the importance and different ways of providing high quality film content and film education for the young audiences. Following the aforesaid, by giving children, young audiences an opportunity to explore, to challenge themselves, we are definitely helping them in developing their own sensibility to perceive things, people, situations and emotions.
On the first day (17/9), the panel discussions will focus on films for children and on film education from an EU angle. Speakers will present existing dedicated spaces for children as well as examples of national strategies for film education. On the second day (18/9), virtual chat rooms will address the importance of different educational approaches, film education initiatives when national strategies are non-existent, successful showcases of the Creative Europe sub-programme MEDIA and how to draw connections between books and films to highlight the importance of storytelling.
