This year, the focus of ICT Proposers day will be on the European Commission’s proposed Digital Europe programme, part of the next long-term EU budget. With a planned overall budget of €9.2 billion, it will shape and support the digital transformation of Europe’s society and economy in five key areas: supercomputing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, advanced digital skills, and ensuring a wide use of these digital technologies across the economy and society in line with Europe’s ambitious sustainability goals and values.
An online survey, to help the Commission to finalise the Orientations for the first two years (2021-2022) of Digital Europe is open, in all EU languages, until 25 October 2019: anyone with an interest in the digital transformation of Europe’s economy and society is encouraged to participate.
The Proposers’ Day will also focus on the upcoming Horizon 2020 Work Programme calls in the field of Information & Communication Technologies, Future and Emerging Technologies (FET), and Societal Challenges. The event will offer a perfect environment for establishing new partnerships, sharing ideas, comparing visions, enlarging the stakeholder basis of ICT research and innovation and, last but not least, finding out about the next round of Horizon 2020 calls
