7th Meeting of the Future Internet Forum (FIF)

The main goal was to discuss the status and next steps of the Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative, first via exchanges with a wider group of stakeholders in the NGI Forum and then discussing NGI activities and learnings in the Member States and the Associated Countries.

The meeting took place in Porto on 14 September 2018 and was held in conjunction with the NGI Forum 2018 (13 September, Porto).

It was dedicated to the Next Generation Internet Initiative (NGI), focusing on:

  • Key takeaways from the NGI Forum 2018
  • The current NGI status, roadmap and next steps
  • Exchange of experiences of NGI activities in the Member States and the Associated Countries, how to continue NGI stakeholder engagement, and what kind of support is needed from the EC and the CSAs in the future.
