Next Generation Internet (NGI) at Mobile World Congress /4YFN 2018

The NGI initiative will be present at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, held in Barcelona from 26 February to 1 March. From 26 to 28 February, the NGI booth at 4 Years From Now (4YFN) will provide more information about this ambitious initiative. A panel discussion will be held on Monday, 26 February from 12:30 to 13:30 at 4YFN where the exciting NGI Awards 2019 will be launched. An interactive NGI session at the Mobile World Capital booth in the heart of the MWC will take place on Tuesday, 27 February from 16:30 to 17:30 to discuss 'Will privacy enhancing business models drive the NGI?'.

European Commission / NGI Move The NGI will be present at the MWC 2018, held in Barcelona from 26 February to 1 March. From 26 to 28 February, the NGI booth at 4YFN will provide more information about this ambitious initiative.

The NGI initiative, launched by the European Commission in autumn 2016, aims to shape the future internet as powerful, open, data-driven, user-centric interoperable platform ecosystem fully in line with the European values: openness, inclusivity, transparency, privacy, cooperation, and protection of data.

NGI Panel Discussion & Launch of the NGI Awards 2019

Leading experts will debate how decentralization technologies are affecting the Internet as we know it today, and how they may impact our society in the future. How are large corporations preparing for the uptake of these technologies across different sectors? How can startups and entrepreneurs use these technologies to compete, while protecting the rights of their users?

The NGI Awards is a thrilling opportunity to identify, promote and push-forward excellence in the means of Europeans Next Generation Internet (NGI).
