Language equality in the digital age - towards a Human Language Project

Multilingualism is one of the fundamental values of the European Union, but the digital age challenges the survival of a multilingual Europe. The identified gap between the use of English in Language technologies and of other official EU languages is steadily widening. The main aim of this workshop is to analyse the potential and opportunities related to Human Language Technologies in ensuring equality regarding the use in a digital space of all EU languages and avoiding the risks of their digital extinction.
