A high-level symposium and networking reception on 27th March 2019 will take place in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.
During the evening Professor Gérard Mourou, Nobel Prize Winner in 2018 in Physics will give a keynote speech.
His presence underlines the importance of Photonics in today's science landascape. This was also stressed in the open letter that 3 Nobel Laureates published a few weeks ago.
Professor Gérard Albert Mourou, Professor Stefan W. Hell and Professor Theodor W. Hänsch pointed out that the photonics sector has gained a world-leading position, as a direct result of the investment and key enabling technology status given to it through Horizon 2020.
The second event day will focus on the Photonics21 workshop sessions and the several thematic areas.
The online registration is now open.
