The fifth eArchiving Initiative training webinar examines the use of open-source tools in digital preservation. The webinar will guide users through the processes needed to create archival-grade files within an E-ARK-conformant SIP (Submission Information Package).

Attendees will be presented with mechanisms and techniques to identify files, convert and validate them, and will be shown tools for creating the SIP package. All of which are crucial steps in creating truly conformant  IPs (Information Packages).

The training webinar will take place on Thursday 21 September 2023, 10.00 - 11.00 CEST and will be hosted by Anssi Jääskeläinen (XAMK, South-Eastern Finland University).

Practical information about the webinar will be provided once the participant is registered.
