Workshop on Eligible costs co-funding and state aid for European Digital Innovation Hubs - Postponed

This is the third workshop dedicated to the restricted call to setup the initial network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs). The call will be launched in the spring, with a planned deadline in the third quarter 2021. The aim is to clarify the many aspects relevant to the European call and the setting up of the initial network. This one will focus on co-funding and state aid issues.

Innovation hubs

European Digital Innovation Hubs will be funded 50% from the Digital Europe programme, and 50% from the Member State. This second 50% can be in cash or in kind and provided from National or regional funds, from private investments, but also from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). 

Aim of the workshop

Eligible costs for DIGITAL will be explained, as well as the mechanism of annual instalments. It will be explained how each project will be reviewed and how the eligible costs will be assessed.

State aid rules will be also addressed, namely how hubs may make use of the GBER article 28 of Innovation Advisory Services for SMEs.
