Call for proposals: Integrity of social media

The objective of this call is to draft a Code of professional integrity for independent European fact-checking organisations, to pilot its implementation and to support fact checking and open source investigation organisations in adhering to it. The successful project should pull together established or emerging European fact-checking organisations, as well as entities with expertise in providing sustainability and support actions to small-scale organisations. The project will closely cooperate with EDMO and will discuss its findings with the European Science and Media Hub of the European Parliament.

The selected project will focus its activities on creating a wide group of fact-checking and open source investigation organisations and, in collaboration with this group, creating the draft Code of professional integrity, establishing and testing a possible compliance framework, and providing supporting operations for organisations interested in adhering to the Code.

Deadline for the submission of proposals (last day for posting) is 30/06/2021.
