The Broadband Competence Offices (BCO) are EU Member States’ national and regional authorities responsible for broadband deployment. The BCOs underpin the implementation of EU connectivity objectives by providing solutions for the rollout of broadband networks.
The contractor will support the network of BCOs with respect to available funds for broadband deployment under the Multiannual financial framework 2021-2027, namely the European funds for rural development, the European Agricultural fund for rural development, the Connecting Europe Facility, and the Resilience and recovery facility.
The contractor would:
- Assist the BCO network with the knowledge to implement projects for high-speed broadband services
- Enhance broadband investments in addressing regional disparities
- Underpin the implementation of EU gigabit objectives through investments for infrastructure
- Provide solutions to the lack of planning and capacities for the roll-out broadband networks
- Provide information to the Commission on broadband related issued linked to the tasks to be performed
