EU-US Joint Statement on CyberSafe Products Action Plan

The EU and U.S. have signed an Administrative Arrangement on a Joint CyberSafe Products Action Plan with the aim to advance technical cooperation to support the goal of achieving mutual recognition in the area of cybersecurity requirements for Internet-of-things (IoT) hardware and software consumer products.

In the presence of European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton, at the White House in Washington DC, the “Joint CyberSafe Products Action Plan” that will deepen cooperation between relevant agencies of the Government of the United States was signed by US Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technologies Anne Neuberger. Director General Roberto Viola signed the Action Plan for the Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT) of the European Commission.
