Science 2.0: science in transition

The public consultation "Science 2.0: science in transition" closed in September 2014. A website has been set up to support the validation process of this consultation.

The background document to the consultation provides a useful summary of the meaning and implications of Science 2.0.

The three main objectives of the consultation and validation are:
(1) to assess the degree of awareness amongst the stakeholders of the changing modus operandi for science and research;
(2) to assess the perception of the opportunities and challenges; and
(3) to identify possible policy implications and actions to strengthen the competitiveness of the European science and research system by enabling it to take full advantage of the opportunities offered by Science 2.0.
