Europeana and inDICEs launch new tool to collect data for the Country Reports

Europeana and the EU funded Indices Culture Project have created a new self-assessment tool called ENUMERATE to make it easier to collect data from cultural heritage institutions in the EU for the important country reports.

The picture shows an abacus estimated from 1893 or earlier. An abacus is a simple device to make mathematical calculations. It has a frame where beads can be moved along rows of wires. This one is made of wood and metal with beads in okra colours.

ENUMERATE is an initiative designed to create a reliable baseline of statistical data about digitisation, digital preservation, and online access to cultural heritage in Europe for policy-makers.

This information has been collected every three years since 2011 while the new tool will gather the information on an ongoing basis. The deadline to have your data included in the next country report is 24 June 2022!

The country reports helps policy makers across the Member States to plan funding and other support for preservation and digitisation of cultural heritage artefacts, so it is important that you participate.
