The Success story of Italian Startup Doveconviene

Italian Startup Doveconviene revolutionises customer promotions and allows users to organize their shopping trip online so they know exactly where to go to find the best deal.

Doveconviene is a digital, geo-localised newsstand that provides leaflets and catalogues of major retailers and brands across all categories, from food to electronics, from furniture to DIY, from travel to clothing, and sends them via email or mobile to users who are in the reference areas of the stores. The services are accessible through the website and a free mobile application developed for the major mobile platforms: iOS, Android, WindowsPhone, Windows8, Amazon and BlackBerry. Not only does Doveconviene provide a simple solution for customers, it also helps to preserve the environment by providing the digital equivalent to paper leaflets.

Doveconviene is another example of a startup that is seeing great success with the help of EU funding from the Sardinia Region. Providing online versions of leaflets from over 60 trademark companies and locating promotions from over 10,000 stores, the company has an increasing user base month after month and is considered a point of reference not only for consumers but also for brands and retailers.

The management team is led by entrepreneurs Alessandro Palmieri, in charge of marketing and technology and Stefano Portu, responsible for business and sales. Stefano claims that founding and managing a Startup is not as difficult as one might think as ‘the excitement at having created a business model is the overriding sentiment. Young people should create their own opportunities and pursue one goal with courage and foresight.’
