During the workshop, the stakeholders explored and identified opportunities how to scale up good practices in using digital technologies to support better teaching and learning in the digital age as well as discussed the research needs related to the use of emerging digital technologies in education.
The brainstorming sessions focussed on how the future funding programmes Digital Europe Programme and Horizon Europe can support the digital capabilities of schools and the uptake of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR). It also served to get an insight into the challenges and blocking factors affecting digital education.
