“Open Data Eindhoven” is a platform for data producers, data processors and data users to promote availbaility of data and encourage re-use.
With Open Data, Public Sector information is made available to both citizens and businesses, that can exploit them for an illimited number of purposes.
However, Open Data requires a conscious change of culture and responsible protocols to release data properly and hence create social, democratic and economic value.
A context like this brings fantasies to some but fears to others...
Local and international stakeholders will discuss it at the next ICT4Society Stakeholders Meeting, taking place at Eindhoven on the 29th of October 2014 (Eindhoven Town Hall, 14.30/17.30).
