European Parliament (EP) Workshop: Understanding the Human Brain

The Science and Technology Options Assessment (STOA) is organising a workshop where key leading representatives of three large-scale brain research initiatives from Europe, the United States and Japan will present an overview of their status, achievements, opportunities for cooperation, and future plans.

A high level representative from the European Commission will provide an overview of neuroscience research initiatives funded at EU level, and discuss opportunities for international cooperation in the field.

Key leading scientists will present three major brain research initiatives launched over the last three years: (i) the Japanese BRAIN/MINDS project, (ii) the US Brain Initiative, and (iii) the EU Human Brain Flagship project.

  • An exhibition on the Human Brain Project will be organised on the 29 and 30 November on the Balcony 5G at the European Parliament.
