Across the EU, numerous initiatives such as the eGovernment Large Scale Pilots (LSPs) are creating cross-border and cross-domain digital solutions for Digital Public Services that will help make the Digital Single Market a reality. Once those initiatives come to an end, it needs to be ensured in the long-term that the solutions developed can be maintained and governed. The e-SENS project, the latest member of the LSPs family, has launched a discussion via LinkedIn which aims to gather your feedback on the long-term European IT governance model proposed by e-SENS.

Across the EU, numerous initiatives are creating cross-border and cross-domain digital solutions that will help make the Digital Single Market a reality. Large Scale Pilots (LSPs), the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the ISA programme and similar initiatives are all working to facilitate seamless public e-Services across borders. These initiatives will eventually come to an end. Therefore, it needs to be ensured in the long-term that the solutions developed can be maintained and governed. The e-SENS project, the latest member of the LSP family, was tasked by the EC to tackle matters relating to sustainability and long-term governance. One objective of e-SENS is to propose a long-term governance structure (after 2020) that will support flexible and effective coordination on the technical components (known as “Building Blocks”) that enable the interoperability and delivery of cross-border public e-Services.
