United States: Verizon Business launches 5G fixed wireless access service with network slicing

United States, 18 December 2025 – Verizon Business has launched a new 5G network slice, branded as 5G Network Slice – Enhanced Internet, aimed at enterprises with uplink-heavy and cloud-centric workloads. The fixed wireless access service is built on Verizon’s 5G ultra wideband spectrum and is designed to provide predictable performance supported by service level agreements.

According to the company, the offering delivers download speeds of up to 200 megabits per second and upload speeds of up to 45 megabits per second, with no data caps. The enhanced uplink performance is intended to support applications such as artificial intelligence inference, computer vision and real-time data uploads, where low latency and reliability are critical.

The service is initially available in selected markets and can be deployed as a managed, scalable solution tailored to enterprise requirements. Verizon Business said the launch targets a wide range of sectors, including media, healthcare and other data-intensive industries, enabling high-performance wireless connectivity as an alternative or complement to wired access.
